Leadership

Leadership lessons, fun – and fundraising

The annual European Rental Meeting in Portugal is an opportunity for leaders from all of the operating Groups across Europe to reflect on achievements, learn from one another, network, celebrate success, brainstorm and plan.

Enabling today’s leaders to take the business further is key to achieving Enterprise’s goals, and the Rental Meeting is a key part of making this happen.

"The last few years have been truly transformative for our European business," said SVP for Europe, Mike Nigro. "When you have great leadership, the right people and a good strategy in place, the business turns hard and fast."

A Women In Leadership networking event provided the opportunity for female attendees from all EU corporate countries to get to know each other better and focus on how the business can better support female employees. All Enterprise European officers were in attendance, as well as CEO Pam Nicholson and COO Chrissy Taylor.

When you have great leadership, the right people and a good strategy in place, the business turns hard and fast.

Mike Nigro commented on the large number of women in attendance, representing all their groups and driving the business forward. Mike said, “Connecting female employees across the organisation strengthens our business and helps us to grow and prosper together.”

Mike encouraged women to serve as mentors to other women in the business and focus on recruitment that promotes gender balance and diversity.

Enterprise employees gathered during breaks in the sessions to network more informally – and to raise money for Children In Need.

Chrissy Taylor, UK & Ireland MD Khaled Shahbo and Mike Nigro were dunked in a water tank on the beach as part of a fund-raising effort for BBC Children in Need.
