Flex-E-Rent is our specialist commercial and accessible vehicle solution for business and community rentals. Jordan Marsh recently had the opportunity to talk to some of the women who are driving its success.
As manager of our Bristol Depot, Sam looks after a fleet of over 1,000 vehicles. She has been working for the business for over two years and has been promoted several times. She has consistently been ranked in the top five of the Flex-E-Rent sales team.
A key element of her role as depot manager is looking after a large team of Enterprise staff, which is where Sam’s passion for employee development has come in very useful. Sam is keen to promote an excellent level of customer care. It is Sam’s clear passion and drive that has enabled her to contribute considerably to the Flex-E-Rent
area of the business.
Our new health & safety executive for UK & Ireland, Deborah Greenall worked for Flex-E-Rent for 10 years as the Group Health, Safety & Environment Manager. At Flex-E-Rent she was responsible for ensuring compliance to both current and future legislative requirements.
By maintaining best practice within the business, Flex-E-Rent was able to achieve over 1.5 million man-hours without a reportable accident. Raising awareness and introducing both the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 resulted in Flex-E-Rent winning numerous national and international awards across all health, safety and environmental disciplines.
A further element of Deborah’s role was being involved with procurement processes, achieving great savings by centralising some of the key cost areas. Deborah works closely with a team of Health & Safety Representatives (Hasreps) across all depots who worked hard to introduce both new processes and maintain current practises, thus allowing for the continual improvement across the Group.
Major achievements include British Safety Council International Safety Awards in 2014 (Merit) and a Gold Green Apple Award in 2015.
Sharon joined Flex-E-Rent following the acquisition of the Burnt Tree Group and is currently depot manager in Glasgow. Sharon was instrumental in the opening of this depot, taking it from a standing start to an operation with a fleet size in excess of 2000 vehicles. One of Sharon’s key achievements was deleting and switching out over 800 vehicles over three months following the acquisition.
Sharon attributes her success on having an excellent team, comprised of strong, driven individuals who share the same values and principles. Just like Sam, Sharon is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and driving sales working closely with our sales team. Looking to the future, Sharon hopes to be involved in the development of other new depots, building on her previous experience from Glasgow.
