Whats new at #enterprisingwomen

“2016 is a really exciting year for the gender diversity board at EU99. We decided to ramp up activities and engage with more employees. We reviewed everything we did and connected with someone who has communications experience to help us reach out in a better way. We have also involved someone with project management skills to keep us on track – because as well as being board members of Enterprising Women we have busy day jobs!

“The biggest fundamental change was we added men to the board. Gender equality isn’t just a women’s issue. Men and women need to be part of the solution together. We are lucky at Enterprise to have so many fantastic #heforshe advocates shown in the support around International Women’s Day from Mike Nigro, Khaled Shahbo and a whole host of others in the company.

“But gender diversity does not come from one day a year of great events. We need men helping to improve gender equality all year round. We had some fantastic candidates. David Rowan, a national sales manager in our insurance team and Michail Mavrovitis, regional director for the EMEA region, joined the board, along with Claudine Whiteside from our revenue management team.

“In the last week, we surveyed EU99 for their views on Enterprising Women. We are using that data to shape our strategies for the next three years. Look at our area on the hub to see details of upcoming events. If you want to get involved, please email enterprisingwomen@ehi.com”
