Day in the life...

Raj Dohil, Talent Acquisition Specialist, U1

05.50 Alarm goes: snooze for 10 minutes.

06.00 Chat for 15 minutes with my son, get ready for work.

06.55 Hair and make up done.

07.00 Teeth brushed, clothes on and breakfast fed. 10 minutes for Arjan to change his mind at least three times.

07.25 The school run.

07.45 My Enterprise day starts!

08.05 Chat to the team about their evening, what we all have on for the day.

08.15 Screen online applications of candidates, invite them to interviews, prepare for interviews, print application forms, review work experience.

09.00 Five to seven interviews; contact candidates already interviewed; contact candidates scheduled on branch visit interviews and assessment days; speak with branch managers about branch interviews; lunch!

Raj with Arjan

17.45 My journey home – Arjan tells me how good he has been at school (teachers sometimes differ); while dinner is cooking I get Arjan bathed and into his PJs; dinner watching one of his favourites or go through homework.

18.50 Tucked in bed for story time.

19.15 Fast asleep (not me, Arjan). Once he’s asleep I wash the dishes, put clothes in the dryer washed earlier (thanks to washing machines with a timer), iron, get his uniform ready, pay bills, clear out emails. I would never have thought that having a child and working would be possible. After four years I can say it is very much possible. My team has never made me feel like having a child means I can’t do the role. Arjan understands that mummy works in order for him to have all the best things in life.
